SG Aqiqah does not deliver aqiqah meat back to Singapore. The meat from your aqiqah sacrifice is distributed directly to orphans and poor families in Indonesia — where the slaughter is performed.
This is not a limitation. It is actually the preferred Islamic model — giving the meat to those most in need. You receive full photo and video documentation of the slaughter and distribution, plus a personalised e-certificate for your records.
If you want to host a family gathering or kenduri in Singapore, you can do that separately — it is not part of the aqiqah sacrifice itself.
Is Aqiqah Performed Overseas Islamically Valid?

The majority of Islamic scholars — including those recognised by MUIS in Singapore — permit aqiqah to be performed in another country such as Indonesia, provided: (1) the animal meets Islamic requirements for aqiqah, (2) the slaughter is performed by a qualified Muslim with the correct intention and supplication, and (3) the meat is distributed to those in need. Many scholars consider distributing in a country where poverty is greater to carry additional merit as sadaqah.
The Islamic obligation of aqiqah is fulfilled by the sacrifice itself and the distribution of meat to the needy — not by whether the meat reaches your own dining table. Sending the meat to orphanages in Indonesia is a valid, well-established fulfilment of this Sunnah.

Can I Still Hold a Kenduri or Home Celebration?
Yes — and many SG Aqiqah customers do exactly this. The aqiqah sacrifice and your family celebration are two separate things:
- The aqiqah sacrifice — booked with SG Aqiqah, performed in Indonesia, meat distributed to the poor. This fulfils the Islamic Sunnah.
- The family kenduri — a separate home gathering or celebration meal you host in Singapore for your relatives and friends, using food you prepare or cater yourself.
There is no Islamic requirement that the aqiqah meat must be served at your kenduri. Hosting a celebration meal separately is perfectly fine and widely practised by Muslim families in Singapore.

Can I request the aqiqah on the 7th day after birth?
Yes. The Sunnah is to perform aqiqah on the 7th day. Inform us of your child's birth date when you enquire and we will prioritise scheduling on that day where possible.
