We understand that for Muslim families, the Syariah validity of any ownership arrangement is non-negotiable. This page explains the two pillars of OwnerSheep’s structure — and gives you the exact steps to verify compliance independently.
💬 Request Documentation via WhatsApp View Programme DeckOwnerSheep’s structure rests on two established Islamic contractual principles. Together, they make the programme Syariah-compliant without relying on interest, speculation, or ambiguous financial instruments.
Milkiyyah means you hold complete, direct ownership of the physical animals. The sheep are registered in your name. No intermediary holds title on your behalf. This is the same principle that governs ownership of any tangible halal asset.
Wakalah is a delegated agency contract. You appoint Aliyah Rizq Holdings as your authorised Wakeel (agent) to manage the flock. A disclosed management fee applies. Crucially, ownership never transfers — the sheep remain yours throughout the 36-month cycle.
In classical Islamic jurisprudence, Milkiyyah (ملكية) refers to complete proprietary ownership of a specific, identified thing. Unlike conventional financial products where you hold units in a pool, OwnerSheep owners hold Milkiyyah over actual, numbered livestock.
This distinction matters Islamically: it is the basis upon which your Qurban is valid (you must own the animal being slaughtered), and it is why the programme is structurally different from interest-bearing or speculative arrangements.
Your ownership is documented in Aliyah Rizq’s livestock registry. You receive bi-annual reports confirming your flock’s status. Upon request, a farm visit can be arranged so you can see your animals in person.
Wakalah (وكالة) is one of the most well-established contracts in Islamic commercial law. It is used extensively in Islamic banking, Takaful, and Islamic finance globally. The Wakeel (agent) acts on behalf of the principal (you, the owner) within the boundaries of the contract.
In OwnerSheep’s application: Aliyah Rizq Holdings is appointed as Wakeel to handle day-to-day farm management — feeding, veterinary care, breeding, and eventual livestock sale. Their compensation is a Wakalah management fee, disclosed upfront in the ownership agreement. They do not earn a share of your ownership; they earn an agreed agency fee.
The Wakalah ends at the close of the 36-month cycle when the livestock are sold and proceeds are distributed. You can also request early termination subject to discussion with Aliyah Rizq.
A Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) pools participants’ money to be managed for their collective benefit — and is regulated under Singapore’s Securities and Futures Act. Here is why OwnerSheep does not fit that definition.
| Characteristic | Collective Investment Scheme | OwnerSheep |
|---|---|---|
| What you hold | Units in a pooled fund | Registered ownership of specific physical livestock |
| Who manages assets | Fund manager on collective basis | Your appointed Wakeel (agent) under a bilateral contract |
| Can you identify your specific assets? | No — pooled | Yes — specific sheep registered to you |
| Is it regulated by MAS? | Yes — Securities and Futures Act | No — physical livestock ownership is not a capital markets service |
| Is the return a financial product return? | Yes — NAV-based or interest-based | No — agricultural sale proceeds from real livestock |
